Tom Clancy’s Rainbow 6 Patriots Preview
Patriots, so called because of the new terrorist threat that Team Rainbow face this time around. The “True Patriots” are a militia group that feed on the downbeat mood of the public, unhappy with the way the country Is run by corporate greed and ambitious politicians with only their own interests at heart.
A chap called Tredway leads the True Patriots who, in a fresh act of terrorism, take control of a skyscraper in New York, strap explosives to a suited businessman and throw him out of the window, detonating him just before he hits the ground. Intense.
Combat has been somewhat streamlined from classic Rainbow Six games, with a context sensitive command system that allows us to direct the team with a single button press or to take full control when the situation calls for it.
